Due to new research released https://www.webjunction.org/explore-topics/COVID-19-research-project.html(link is external), returned library materials will now be quarantined for 4 days. After you return your items to us, they will still appear as checked out on your account during this 4-day quarantine (overdue fees from this will be waived). This protects our staff during their handling at check-in and the next patron to check out the title.
Join Mrs. Shue for some fun on the Hannibal Library Children's Programs Facebook page to hear live stories at 10:15 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, which will then be followed by a virtual craft that you & your children can safely do at home with simple household items!
During this time of crisis, in order to minimize opportunities for transmission of the COVID-19 virus, and to protect both community members' health and the health of our library employees, the Hannibal Free Library will be closed effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020 until further notice. Our plan is to suspend operations while the schools are closed in order to help prevent the spread of this virus. All library related events that are scheduled will be postponed.
